Terms of Use
These terms govern your council's access to and use of ComplianceIntel. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by them.
Last updated: 13 June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using ComplianceIntel (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of a council or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these terms.
2. The Service
ComplianceIntel provides a statutory obligation register and compliance intelligence platform purpose-built for Queensland local government, including extracted legislative obligations, duty-holder mapping, controls, assessments, incident tracking, and reform monitoring.
3. Accounts and Access
Access to the Service is provided to authorised users within a registered council organisation. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Multi-factor authentication is required for all accounts.
4. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- use the Service for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service, or to data belonging to another organisation;
- copy, scrape, or redistribute content from the Service except as permitted by your organisation’s agreement with us; or
- interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
5. Your Data
Your council retains ownership of the data it enters into the Service (“Customer Data”). We will only access Customer Data as needed to provide support or maintain the Service, or as you direct. On termination of your account, you may request export of your Customer Data within a reasonable period.
6. Intellectual Property
ComplianceIntel, including its underlying software, obligation library, and extraction pipeline, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. Nothing in these terms transfers ownership of our intellectual property to you.
7. Disclaimer
ComplianceIntel is provided to assist your council in identifying and managing statutory obligations. It is not legal advice, and it does not replace your council’s own legal review and judgement. While we take care to keep the obligation library accurate and current, your council remains responsible for its compliance with applicable legislation.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we exclude all warranties not expressly stated in these terms, and our liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount paid by your organisation for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service for breach of these terms, or as set out in your council’s services agreement with us.
10. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Queensland.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
